Gareth Smith and Jenny Lee

We specialize in inventive, hand-crafted design for film, television and streaming projects. We collaborate closely with our clients to infuse the work with a strong sense of storytelling, originality and conceptual thinking.

Some things about us:

  • In 2016, we were invited to present our work as part of the 21st Century in Design at Viacom exhibit in New York

  • Gareth taught a Kinetic Type course at UCLA Design Media Arts

  • Gareth’s hybrid live-action and animated short film, This Guy is Falling, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001

  • Jenny’s work behind the camera has taken her to Tokyo, Tibet, and Sierra Leone. Her early short film Home is a visual tone poem of winter in New York

  • We love corgis, especially this one

  • We have some awards to share

… And if anyone is still reading, we met while working together on the Broadway musical Wicked doing video projection design with projection designer Elaine McCarthy. A two-year, long distance relationship ensued, and then we were living in the same city, and then we found ourselves collaborating on a title sequence for Jason Reitman’s first feature, and then sixteen years later, we found ourselves making this website.
