To set up the premise—that three brothers hire a charming slacker to pose as their dad—we created a fast-paced stop-motion sequence combining show footage with original photography of Tyler Labine.

The sequence had to establish the entire backstory in under 20 seconds. We staged a photo shoot with Labine and paired those images with existing footage of the boys from the show—aligning expressions and gestures to build specific narrative beats. The final piece blends cut-out imagery and rapid transitions to deliver a compact, stylized origin story before the first scene even begins.
