Main Titles and Onscreen Typography Treatments
Directed by R.J. Cutler

For this intimate portrait of comedy legend John Belushi, directed by longtime collaborator R.J. Cutler, we were brought in to design the main title and all typography treatments used throughout the film.

The approach was bold and graphic—channeling the raw energy of Belushi’s performances and the iconic visual language of the late ’70s and early ’80s. From chapter titles to on-screen text, the typography served as a throughline—unifying archival footage, interviews, and animation with a distinct and cohesive voice.

The main title that appears at the end of the film captures Belushi’s larger than life quality.
